We invite you to an unforgettable expedition to the Jeleniowski Landscape Park, where, on the edge of the forest, and foot of the Truskolaska mountain (one of the picturesque peaks of the Jeleniowski ranges of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains), our ethnographic museum SHAIONKE is located (in the language of Delaware Indians, SHAIONKE exactly means „place at the foot of the mountain”).
In Shaionke, along with a guide you shall transfer in time and space to ancient times where briefly as guests, you will get the opportunity to see and learn what life looked liked on a daily basis for one of the first groups of indigenous people of North America on the east coast. They were the foundation of later tribes and nations that in subsequent centuries scattered across the continent. The guide will lead you through the next epoch revealing and explaining migration, the development of civilization and culture until the modern times. Stop for slightly longer in the XVIII century, in which our village existed. Returning to the XXI century, you have the possibility of active recreation in the settlement surrounded by the forest and mountains.
Our merchant from Trading Post will enable you buy souvenirs in the form of handicrafts made in the settlement, so that you will be able to take home with you some part of this extraordinary expedition.
SHAIONKE INDIAN VILLAGE IS THE ONLY ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM OF SUCH TYPE IN POLAND!
